Helsinki Mobile

This mobile consists of 24 laser cut birch plywood landmarks in Helsinki. The landmarks of which mostly buildings are accurate representations of the reality with an incredible amount of detail.

The mobile is very tactile and moves freely with the slightest current, impressive from whatever angle you look at it.

Materials used are stainless steel rod and certified 1mm plywood. Production waste is very limited and all parts of the mobile are recyclable.

This playful object has an interesting mix of graphic design, architecture and product design.

Additional information on the landmarks with regards the name, the architect and date of completion will be given on the outside of the packaging box.

Designed through the collaborative efforts of illustrator Ilja Karsikas and product designer Willem Heeffer.
